Energy is one of the most important sectors of the country’s economy. The development of this sector is essential for the development of the country. Its importance has increased in light of climate change. A major source of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is fuel consumption. The proportion of the country’s population covered by electricity has increased significantly. As such, it can be said that Bangladesh has crossed the crisis stage and reached a new phase in terms of electricity supply and electrification. But in this new episode, new kinds of problems and questions have arisen.
A substantive discussion of these questions is the aim of this annual conference organized by BAPA-BEN and various environmental organizations and institutions of the country. Auritry also joined this conference. All are invited to present at the BAPA-BEN conference.
