Plastics have overtaken our lands and water bodies. It is no surprise that plastic pollution has become one of the world’s most pressing environmental crises. Our water bodies have plastics floating in them, and millions of animals die from the ingestion of plastic every year.
Microplastics have significant negative impacts on human health too. Therefore, it is important to create awareness against our plastic consumption habits and look for cost-effective alternatives. With the initial thought that photography depicts this alarming situation caused by plastic pollution, Auritry Foundation organized ‘Auritry Photography Contest 2021’ on 12 June- 30 June 2021 to make awareness among the community to prevent the signal consumption of plastic.
The competition was held under the theme of ‘Plastic pollution & potential Solution” with the hope of innovative solutions from the participants.
